Shakespeare – Cymbeline Act 5
This assignment is based on the play Cymbeline by William Shakespeare. Specifically, act FIVE of this play. Act FIVE has various scenes that go with it, so you must read the whole thing, so all the scenes that make it up before going on to answer the questions.
You must read ACT 5 of this play before going on to answer the prompt questions based on each scene.

When you are done reading act FIVE, and have fully comprehended and analyzed it, you must answer two questions that I will put below. The questions should receive a full response to it, answering the prompt question in-depth, along with TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (QUOTES) from ACT 5 that supports your words. The response should be a well-developed paragraph – whatever you feel is right – as long as the question is fully answered with quotes and strong analysis – for both questions!
The structure should be, the question and then the answer.
NOTE – When citing Shakespeare plays, list the ACT, SCENE, and LINES in parenthetical citations (page numbers are NOT included), separated by periods. Enclose the citation in parentheses. For example: (Macbeth 1.3.14-17) refers to Act 1, Scene 3, Lines 14 to 17 of Macbeth

***Question: Which character do you think is the play’s protagonist, and why? Is this what you would expect from the play’s title and/or it’s opening act? How does this character’s centrality reflect on the play’s preoccupation with succession?
