American foreign policy

Foreign policy in a state is defined as the activities and objectives concerning interactions with other countries. America’s primary goal has always been to deal withthe Soviet Union’s threat for half a century. New questions have been raised while the relations with Russia and the national security questions remain on the list concerning foreign policy(MacDonald,2018). The foreign policy defines the US approach with other states, and it is widely accepted. The procedure is to secure the state’s territorial integrity and offer protection to the interest of its inhabitants both in and outside the country.Second, foreign policy is meant to promote the US’s economic welfare since its financial status determines its status. The economic growth will depend on which foreign policy the country will pursue.It willenable a country’s role in international politics more effective. Moreover, the national interests of a state are promoted and taken further by foreign policy. These interests include the well-being of people, security, and the preservation of the US’s people.

President Donald Trump’s administration aims of the foreign policy are on security, including fighting terrorists and ensuring that border defenses are strong and the immigration movement. In his first speech, the president stated that during his term, people’s ways, life in the US will not be taken advantage of by anyonebut set an example (MacDonald,2018).  He then said that hisadministration would create a friendship with the outside world and believe in nations having the freedom to put their interests first. Unlike the other administrators, Trump mostly relied on military personnel and more on his state advisers to advise international relations. On the other hand, Joe Biden, the former US Vice president, hadstated his vision on the foreign policy concerning America. He aimed to restore the leadership dignity and respect in the country and internationally. Joe Biden claimed that he would improve the security, affluence, and traits of the US by renewing the democracy secure the future of the economy and put America in theforefront. The former Vice President added that he would ensure the common challenges are met by rallying the world, leading them from a change in climate to the proliferation of nuclear and transnational terrorism.              

President Trump has changed trade and diplomacy areas in the US and toughening immigration policies across the borders(MacDonald,2018). It is shown whenhe announces the first American approach towards trade and foreign policy, aiming to reduce the country’s trade deficits and reduce the burden by sharing among alliances. The president and his advisors withdraw the US from the transpacific partnership. Joe’s biddenpolicy to strengthen and change the coalition of democracy stands as a better chance for supporting the leadership making the world safe. His ambitions give him a vision over his campaigns.

Bidden foreign policy about the coalition of democracy is a better policy. With his experience as a leader back in time, he knows the effects of weak leadership, and due to this, he has ambitions to save America from such issues. Comparedto Trump’sforeign policy, his visions in the campaign can be applied and have an immensely positive effect on US well-being.
