Use the ” Example A+ APA Paper from a Miles College Student” (found in the tabs on Blackboard) as a guide to how your paper should look.
Choose a topic that interests you (from the list below). Research the topic using the EBSCO Database or Google Scholar. Find a minimum of five scholarly sources. (Information concerning how to use the EBSCO Database and Google Scholar is found in the Research Paper Resources tabs on Blackboard.)
Write a five-paragraph 7-10 PAGE APA-style Research Paper with an introduction paragraph, three supporting paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. The business aspect of your topic MUST be addressed within the body of the paper.
No direct quotes allowed in this paper. All information used must be in your own words with an in-text citation to match the reference used.
Each paragraph must have a minimum of five sentences.
The first sentence of the introductory paragraph must be a “hook” or attention grabber. Ask a question or give an interesting fact.
Include the thesis statement and the restatement of the thesis. The thesis statement is one sentence that summarizes your entire paper. It is the last sentence of the introductory paragraph and the first sentence of the conclusion paragraph. If you are unsure how to write a thesis statement, you can get help using this website.
At least five references must come from the EBSCO Database, Google Scholar, or an online business magazine or newspaper’s website.
Every reference MUST have a matching in-text citation within the body of the paper.
No copy and pasting should be used in the body of the paper. If you get information from a source, write the information in YOUR OWN WORDS, but STILL CITE THE SOURCE. Almost every sentence of the paper should have a citation at the end because this is a research paper–unless you are writing from your own experiences and/or synthesizing the information. I check the entire paper for plagiarism.
The body of the paper should be a minimum of 1700 words (use the word count in Word). Highlight the five main paragraphs in the body of your paper. This is the word count I am looking for.
