Essay Directions: Address each question below in a specific and detailed paragraph of at least ten to twelve focused sentences. All responses must be college-level in style and content. Each question is worth 20 points.
- Why did the Eastern Empire last for more than a thousand years when the Western Empire was over by 476 A. D.? What enabled Byzantium to last for so long? What were the significant influences of Byzantium? Be specific and detailed.
