Art Museum Research Paper

I have started the essay and I have chosen a painting. I don’t think it’s a strong piece so I would love it if you could rewrite or follow what I had so far in terms of information and use the same painting. The whole point of this project was to visit a museum but due to COVID, we are just required to select a work of art that we have never seen before online.

the paper will consist of the following three components.

The student’s personal description and impressions of a single work of art based on an eye-witness account that is written while viewing the image.

Write a description of the work of art while you are there looking at it online. In your own words, describe your reaction to seeing the work of art. Try to imagine how your reaction would be different if you were able to see the work in person. Be sure to write down all of the elements that are listed in the instructions for this part of the assignment as you see them.

– Give your general impression of the work, the type of artwork that it is (sculpture, painting, architecture, etc.), and describe the size, material, color, and texture of what you see.

– Give the information that is listed with the artwork. What is the title? When was it created? What culture does it come from? What style or period does it relate to?

– Describe the subject matter. For instance, if you are looking at a statue, is it showing a man or a woman? – – Describe how old they look. Describe what kind of clothing they are wearing. Describe how they are standing or position. Are they shown doing or holding anything? Is there any writing or images painted or carved on the surface? Describe all you see.

– Describe how the subject matter is portrayed (realistic, abstract, non-objective). Describe any aspects or features of the work that seem either distorted, different than real life, exaggerated, simplified or cartoon-like. Describe any features that seem very real or true to life. If there is no recognizable subject matter, describe the work in terms of the composition

Research conducted by the student to supply historical information about the artwork, the artist, and the style, time period, and culture associated with the art.
A formal, contextual, and/or expressive analysis of the artwork.

This paper must be a minimum of three pages of text (Ariel 12 point font, double spaced).
