Panel Report To-do’s and Deadlines:

(Keep in mind the Syllabus has been changed, changes highlighted on Syllabus. New deadlines listed here have been added to the syllabus. Also, a presentation is NO LONGER required).

The following information is NOT complete. This is just to help give you an overview. Please see the more thorough description in the other info sheet on iCollege.

1. Confirm your topic/case with me via email by Friday 11/06 by 11:59pm:
   1. Choosing a topic/case: This is quite open. You are pretty much just selecting a business ethics related issue in the news (or other similar source) and choosing one or more ethical theories to apply and evaluate this issue.
   2. If you are uncertain about a topic, feel free to run it by me.

• Decide whether you would like to present:
  1. If YES (you want to present), let me know by Friday 11/06 by 11:59pm:
  2. Presentations will occur during our usual Webex times. Please let me know on what date and during which session you would like to present.
  3. (FIRST EMAIL GETS TIME PREFERENCE)
  4. Dates include: 11/12, 11/19, 12/03 (limited availability on 12/03)
  5. Times include: 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 3:00PM

1. Panel Report Submission Deadlines:
   1. If you are giving a presentation, please upload your report to iCollege the day prior to your presentation (by 11:59pm). (Example, if you are presenting on 11/19 at 1:00pm, please upload your report to iCollege by 11/18 at 11:59pm).
   2. If you are NOT giving a presentation (just writing a paper) please upload your report to iCollege byFRIDAY 11/13 by 11:59pm.
   3. (Late papers will lose a letter grade, 10%, for every day they are late).

1. Panel Responses (two of them) Submission Deadlines:
   1. First Panel Response is due by Friday 11/20 at 11:59pm
   2. Second Panel Response (to a different report than the first response) is due by Friday 12/04 at 11:59pm
   3. (You can submit the first panel response up to a week late for at MOST 60%-Reading Response Rules)*Keep in mind that means a late first panel response may need to be submitted during Thanksgiving break
   4. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS FOR PANEL REPONSE 2 WILL BE ACCEPTED

New Syllabus Statement on Panel Reports (additions in red):

The PANEL REPORT is a paper that all students must write. Student also have the OPTION to present via Webex. Students will choose a case or issue for their paper topic. Each case or issue MUST be approved by me ahead of time. Papers must be between 1000–2000 words in length. Papers MUST have a works cited. Students will use at least ONE ethical theory when that they find most relevant to their topic in their report. More detail will be provided in a separate document.

Original Syllabus Statement (for comparison):

The PANEL REPORT is a paper that all students must write and then present to the class. Students will choose a case or issue for their paper topic. Each case or issue MUST be approved by me ahead of time. Papers must be between 1000–2000 words in length. Papers MUST have a works cited. Students will present their topic and discuss ONE ethical theory that they find most relevant to their topic. Presentations must be AT LEAST 4 minutes long. More detail will be provided in a separate document.
