Reflection:
Your reflection really needs to be a space that you write down your thoughts, feelings, opinions, etc. about the reading/films/lecture. There is no right or wrong answers in what you write in the reflection, as long as it shows that you are engaging in the work and course material. Use this space to clarify what you pointed out in bullet points. Discuss the ways in which what you read/watched links to what you have seen in the “real” world. Talk about the documentary that accompanied the readings for that week (where applicable). You can use this space as a type of journal where you begin linking the ways in which your own experiences is reflected in the readings. There are countless ways in which you can use the reflection as a way to boost your learning experience. They are also a great way forme to engage with you and the ways in which you are thinking about course content.Additionally, what is great about reflections is that they help you to narrow down your notes and thoughts, which can be extremely beneficial when you are working on your bigger projects in the course. This is also extremely helpful when trying to draw links between all the course content. I hope that these reflections offer you a tool in order for you to collect your thoughts, express them, and engage more deeply with the material. In a course that is accelerated like this one having something to journal can be helpful. This is especially true if you are not someone that easily understands sociological concepts. No one is judging you in these, so think deeply and engage in the process. Also, remember that this part of the reflection needs to be a minimum of 300 words, which is approximately the length of this paragraph example.
