2. Complete activity #2 on page 17
week 2
Read Chapter 14 and complete the following activity:
Find a satirical comic strip, meme, or article and answer the following questions:
1. What other arguments is the creator/artist/author responding to?
2. Are they agreeing or disagreeing with something?
3. What is motivating the piece’s argument.
YOU MUST INCLUDE A LINK TO THE PIECE YOU FIND.
Although topics will very likely be hot-button/controversial topics, please avoid vulgarity and choose an item you would be comfortable with and would be appropriate to discuss in class.

2. Answer question one and two on pages 28-29
For question #1, you only need to use three of the examples listed a-f
For question #2, and this reading in general, it may be helpful to know that Jay Leno was the host of The Tonight Show for many years (the show that Jimmy Fallon currently hosts). So, he was a comedian and the monologue is meant to make people laugh.
Read the article “Don’t Blame the Eater” by David Zinzenko on page 647. Then, answer questions 1-4 on page 650.
