Uc admission essay
I think my essay is too broad, too general. I need a more specific one but I don’t know how to write it. I need to make sure that my essay is different from others. please help me.

Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university.
For me, a girl in Indonesia who has been passionate about business and economics since childhood, enrolling at the University of California would be a dream come true. My goal has always been to pursue a career in which I can improve the standard of living, not just for myself but for others. By majoring in Business and Economics, I will be able to take a huge step toward achieving this goal.
Economics is not all about material gain and monetary profit. In my view, it is more concerned with improving the financial climate of our society, taking action for one’s community that will bring positive long-term changes. I got my first taste of economics last year, as the fund-raising chairman for my high school’s prom. I also ran for a position as an officer in the Indonesian Student Association. The campaign took three months and involved gathering supporters, fund-raising, and engaging in debates. Currently, I am serving as the Vice-President of the school’s Business Information Technology Club, and am also a member of the UNICEF Club.
The Covid-19 pandemic has sent us into quarantine, but I have used the time to start a business of my own. I took a leap of faith when I began “We Got Oats,” an oat business for my hometown. So far, it has been successful, and the experience has been extremely valuable in preparing me for my intended major. In addition, I have been working part-time for a fabric company, sometimes up to seven hours per day; the work has been an exercise in discipline and has taught me to persevere, a skill that will serve me well in my upper-division courses.
Lastly, I have proudly volunteered to hand out free masks to people in the street during the pandemic. I aim to become an entrepreneur who uses economics to combat social problems, and I also love challenges. Doing my part to reduce the spread of Covid-19 has trained me for the larger challenge of majoring in Business and Economics.
