I read the book Disability Visibility by Alice Wong a few weeks ago and felt that Jeremy Woody’s experiences while incarcerated would be a great discussion topic. His story briefly mentions sexual assault and has explicit language, so feel free to skip the article if you feel that it might be triggering or inappropriate. You can answer the questions based on reading the other articles.

Does the carceral system fail the disabled community? What does an ethical and just treatment look like for disabled individuals convicted of a crime?
