Read the following. We have two additional readings for this activity. They are relatively short. The first is a chapterPreview the document from the Critical Race Theory: An Introduction regarding intersectionality. The second reading is the first chapterPreview the document from my recent book on Rosewood, which discusses how historical researchers (e.g., archaeologists) can integrate intersectionality as both theory and methodology. The activity is straightforward. Answer the following questions: What aspects of the above readings resonate with you? Why? How would you apply intersectionality to another topic, time, or problem? Have you heard of intersectionality before? For instance, what is the popular notion associated with it? If you have heard about intersectionality before, did these readings support what you’ve heard, present something new, or both? Lastly, the grading criteria: You will be graded on content, grammar, and depth of thought. In other words, reference specific examples, proofread your answers, and generally make sure you take the assignment seriously.
