Improving Community Health during TheCOVID-19 Pandemic.

A community’s success is determined by various factors, such as health, education, social programs, and leadership, among others. Public health is supposed to be a top priority for any community as it determines other factors’ acquisition. Unfortunately, my community still lags in public health, and with the Covid-19 pandemic on the rise its only gonna get worse.

The risk factors are quickly catching up with us. Various projects were proposed to be implemented, but this is our third year, yet the conditions are still aren’t met. I propose strategies that will solve community health problems and make community development better during this pandemic.

The majority of the people are ignorant of the health measures. The first three months since the start were safer because everyone was adhering to the world health organization. Unfortunately, people have become less worrisome of the situation, motivated by the economic demand requiring everyone to throw all caution to the wind, or risk starvation.

The best way to contain the situation is by creating awareness to inform and educate the public and, thus, empower them about health matters. The empowerment programs will encourage individuals to seek medical attention when they experience the symptoms.

The community health representatives should also implement a public policy that will assess the problems and make the necessary changes. Creating a strong and durable public policy requires assessing and analyzing health disparity to target and eradicate the problem. Although public awareness might help, the community needs more than education; The relief food program should be revived, but with more safety precaution and in an organized way to prevent a stampede that happened the last time.
