Academic Admissions/Consideration
I received an F in Medical Terminology and a D in General Chemistry and Microbiology Lab during my undergraduate program. Because these are considered failing marks, it does not look great on paper. However, I meet the GPA requirement of 3.0 and did well in my MSN program, I need to write a brief addendum to the admissions committee for the Acute Care Post Master Certification program
The letter should be around 2 paragraphs in length. Please address to the Admissions Committee any extenuating circumstances for this mark and you may include study habits learned, success stories, where you are at in your career, and please conclude with your confidence maintaining A’s and B’s for a CGPA of 3.0 and above at Maryville University (this last component is the most important.)

1) Young single mother, working full time, limited family assistance
2) Domestic/Spousal Violence Survival
Success Stories:
1) Successfully obtain my Associate and Bachelor degree in Nursing. recently graduated with a Master in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner while maintaining a 3.0 GPA average
2) Successfully putting 3 boys to college
3)Plan to open a primary care clinic in an undeserved area
