Instructions: Choose at least five pictures taken in Arizona (You may use those you have found on the internet.) and provide a detailed description for each one. Do not forget to include information such as: What is each photo’s relevance to this course? Where was it taken? Why did you choose to submit that particular photo? What is historically significant about this place? Are there any people, individuals or groups who are associated with this place, and if so, what are the relationships between them? Has this place impacted Arizona in any socio-political-economic aspects? This information needs to accompany each photo. The goal of this project is to add to our understanding and knowledge of Arizona. Choose your photos carefully. A good rule of thumb is: If it is interesting AND relevant to the course you are on the right track! Do this in Microsoft Word or Power Point (or save your work from other word processors as “.doc” files). Be sure you insert your pictures into the document. And, keep your photo image files small, preferably as “.jpg” (jpeg) files no larger than 100K. Each photo should be accompanied with an approximately 250-400 word essay addressing the above questions. Think about creative ways in which you can assemble your photos and essays. You could do it in a PowerPoint, Prezi, or video presentation. You could also do it in a simple Word or Google doc. You could imbed audio clips, paintings, etchings, graphics/charts, photographs, animation. Be creative. Lastly, include footnotes where appropriate with your presentation.
