Persuasion appeals to talk about one of the UN SDGs
The Case
A global philanthropist has announced that they are going to award $5M USD to fund research and development on one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)

. They’ve launched a contest to ask which of the goals should be selected, and why. The contest asks for people to submit a maximum 300-word submission that advocates for the goal that they feel is of most importance to have funded.
As you’ve taken BUS360W at SFU, you have a decent understanding of how to build a persuasive argument and decide to enter the contest.
What you need to do
Using all three appeals of an argument, compose an email in less than 300 words that you can submit to the contest to advocate for which one of the 17 goals the $5M worth of research and development should be awarded. You must only focus on one goal.

Be explicit and descriptive with subject line since they are probably getting multiple emails a day. Narrative and story approach. Creative writing assignment. Paint a picture for the reader about what it means to …. and how that complete impacts .. (research) find an organization that is looking to combat it then tie that in like you are writing on behalf of that organization trying to convince this person why they should give you/that organization 5m dollars because you are working on some amazing incentives and projects to help these .. write this as a passion piece. They want to feel your passion. Emotional piece because emotion needs to come out in the writing. Focus a story create a narrative invent characters who had her future ripped away because of .. because you only have 300 words to get into someone’s heart and mind. Be creative. Feel free make-up scenarios and situations but use proper facts and cite research source. Be sure to state how money would help the problem.
