I have the research paper that gos with this.
For your multimodal project, you will present Essay 3 in some other way that is not a written paper. There must be both visual and audio elements. You can make a video, a podcast (with some kind of accompanying visual), a PowToon, a Spark video, a narrated photo essay, a Google Site… I am sure you have ideas I haven’t thought of because I’m not even trying very hard.
Multimodal is a combination of at least two modes: text, images, motion, and sound. It’s presenting the information you found in a fun, dynamic, interesting, engaging way.
A standard issue Power Point or Google Slides presentation will receive an automatic grade of C or lower UNLESS you find a way to make it so animated and narrated that it could actually be called a video.
Multimodals will be graded on effective presentation of content, English mechanics, creativity, understanding of class materials, clear thesis/argument/focus, and overall awesomeness. Keep in mind that your classmates will be viewing your project.
Due date is Wed. December 9. I realize that’s not much time, so do the best you can. You need time to view each other’s work, and I don’t want you to have too much to do during finals week.
