• You are going to function as a researcher!!
• Your subject will be yourself.
• Prepare a power point presentation that shows who you are as a leader.
• You will have a total of 7 slides, with content to be presented as:
  • Slide 1, title slide
  • Slide 2, research three traits and characteristics that are associated with effective leaders;
  • Slide 3, identify your own traits that can be strengths
  • Slide 4, research Hersey and Blanchard’s situational theory of leadership style
  • Slide 5, identify when you have either used this successfully or could use it successfully
  • Slide 6, identify what kind of a leader you want to be and how this fits with your current professional situation
  • Slide 7, references cited according to APA format.
  • You must include speaker notes on slides 2-6.

Discussion intructions

Remember each week:

1.Define Charismatic and Transformational Leadership. Tell us about a situation in which you either worked with someone or observed someone actin in one of these styles. What was the result? What did you learn from this for your own leadership growth?

2.Remember, leadership behaviors chosen depend on the situation and on the followers. This concept is so important to being the best leader you can be.

1. Tell us about your role in your current job or in a previous job.
2. Choosing one of the three theories from your reading (Hersey-Blanchard, Fiedler, or Path-Goal), apply this to your professional role. Make sure to tell us how this particular theory applies to your role and how following it makes you a better leader.

• You can post your initial response before then, if you’d like.
• Your initial post should be at least 75 words.
• Make sure you answer all parts of the question.
• Your initial response is your idea and thoughts regarding the topic.
• Make sure you back up the statements you make with at least one citation from a professional source.
• You can use our text or another outside, professional source. Your citation needs to be done following APA format.
• You must respond to your classmates’ posts at least 4 days out of 7 (between both DQ for the unit).
• This gives you a chance to actively engage with each other.
• Your responses must be substantive and must further the dialogue between classmates on the topic.
