What unique opportunities or challenges have you experience

My personal experience I would like to write about:
My family experienced a divorce which is what I consider my hardship or setback. Up until my teenage years, I had a very loving family. Once I became an adolescent, my father became a drug addict (started out as prescription pills and turned into meth). Once he became an addict, he got arrested and lost his job as a result. My mom and dad eventually divorced and my mom got remarried. We are on a better path now. My brother attends Texas Tech which is the college I am applying to and would like to attend. I have visited the college and love the atmosphere. My family struggled financially due to my dad’s addiction. Throughout high school, I have worked part time while attending high school and taking college dual credit courses. I feel that my family’s struggles have shaped who I am today. I have learned from my father’s mistakes and will be a better man due to my experiences. The lesson I learned is not the extent of the adversity, but the measure of how I have handled it. My attitude and actions have ruled the outcome.
